2 injured after crane collapses during construction accident

With many construction projects, the use of heavy-duty machines such as cranes may be vital to operations. Unfortunately, working with and around such machines can be somewhat hazardous at times and should a crane collapse, the resulting chaos could pose a significant threat to the health of construction workers in North Carolina. Two workers reportedly suffered severe harm after a crane collapsed during a recent construction accident in another state.

The accident reportedly occurred as workers were operating at a construction site on a recent Friday morning. While transporting materials across the site, a crane suddenly collapsed and struck one worker, causing him to fall up to one story to the floor below. The incident also caused debris to fall and hit a second worker in the head.

According to reports, both workers suffered serious injuries during the incident, and each was taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Falls from heights and falling objects are two of the most common causes of construction accidents, and when such incidents involve the presence of heavy machinery, the results can be disastrous. While the physical pain involved can be troublesome enough as is, the possible monetary repercussions of high medical costs and a long road to recovery may only add to the difficulty of the situation.

Those who suffer severe injuries in a construction accident and wish to know more about the available options to help protect their finances could benefit from seeking guidance early on. Following such an incident, a person in North Carolina could choose to speak with an attorney for guidance on how best to approach the situation. An attorney can examine the circumstances a client is facing and assist him or her in pursuing the full amount of compensation possible through every applicable outlet.
