Those who drive school buses may not only be tasked with transporting students to and from school but also with safeguarding their well-being in transit. But bus drivers can only control so much of what happens on the road. Fourteen students were taken to medical facility for treatment and the driver of a bus suffered serious injuries during a recent work-related car accident after the driver of a dump truck fell asleep behind the wheel in North Carolina.
