Construction accident at former bakery causes injuries to man

Many dangers in the workplace can threaten the health and safety of workers in North Carolina. One man in another state recently suffered serious injuries in a construction accident. The incident occurred on a Monday at around 9:30 a.m.

The accident took place at a building that had formerly been used as a downtown bakery. It was being converted into a brewing company location at the time of the accident. According to officials, the construction worker fell through the building's roof and ended up on the floor.

The man was taken to the hospital following the fall. Witnesses at the accident scene reported that he was conscious but dazed as a result of the fall and that he had suffered injury to his arm. His condition was not immediately available following the incident.

Most companies in North Carolina have a legal obligation to buy workers' compensation insurance, which is designed to cover employees who become injured or fall ill while on the job. If a worker is hurt in a construction accident, he or she has the right to file a workers' compensation claim, which will allow the worker to receive a portion of his or her wages while he or she is incapable of returning to work. Through this type of insurance, injured workers can also get the medical treatments required for them to recover as quickly as possible. It is within the rights of an injured employee to pursue the full benefit amounts to which they are entitled considering the circumstances surrounding their unique cases.
