Construction work accident results in 2 injuries and 1 death

A day on the job can end up being a person’s last for a while if the individual is suddenly hurt while performing a work-related task in North Carolina. Three individuals in another state were recently hurt on the job in a construction-related work accident. The incident happened on a Monday morning.

This accident took place just before 8 a.m. in an area slated to serve as a new vehicle service center site. Two workers who were critically injured in the accident were taken to the hospital. However, one of them ended up passing away as a result of his or her injuries.

A third worker was also taken to the hospital with injuries that were considered to be minor. Authorities reported that a beam appeared to have fallen at the accident site. Local police and government safety officials continued to investigate this accident.

It’s necessary for companies in North Carolina to buy workers’ compensation insurance, which serves the purpose of covering workers who suffer injures in a work accident. When someone gets hurt on the job, he or she can experience a wide range of injuries, including broken bones or even internal injuries, depending on the severity of the accident. Workers’ compensation insurance benefits enables the person to acquire the necessary medical care. These benefits also cover a part of the worker’s regular wages while he or she is unable to work as normal. Individuals with work injuries reserve the right to seek legal guidance in order to maximize the final benefit amount he or she will be awarded under their workers' compensation claims.
