Work accident involving water tank leads to major injuries

A fall in a North Carolina workplace can be a frightening experience. The victim may quickly suffer serious injuries that require constant medical attention, and the individual may not be able to return to work any time soon. One person in another state was recently injured following a work accident involving a water tank.

The worker was trying to dismantle a water tank that was located in a neighborhood. The authorities reported that he suddenly fell. The accident happened on a Monday afternoon.

This worker, who is around 20 years old, was trying to take apart this old rooftop tank with another individual. When he was climbing the unit’s original ladder, it broke. The ladder was connected to an area that had rotted, according to officials. The worker plummeted to the surface of the roof and had to be stabilized and brought down to the ground by paramedics. He was transported to the hospital, where his condition was characterized as serious to critical.

The man will likely face recovery time, which means that he will miss work. North Carolina businesses have to purchase workers’ compensation insurance so that their workers will be medically and financially taken care of in the event of a fall or other type of serious work accident. With workers’ compensation, a recovering employee will recoup a percentage of his or her regular paycheck amount. These state-regulated insurance benefits additionally provide payments that can help the employee to get appropriate and necessary medical care.
